Choose a clutch for your big night out
Clutches have always been in style - and that doesn't look like it'll change any time soon! These bags may not be the most practical choice around, but they always look good. A clutch is a great idea if you want your bag to be at the centre of your outfit. Since you'll have to hold it in your hand, people will notice it more, so take the opportunity to choose one that stands out! When you find the woman's clutch that you want, check it for size. Women's clutches are usually small, so you may want to make sure that your phone, keys and essentials all fit inside. Look out for internal pockets, too. Sometimes it can be possible to fit a lot in a small space!
Clutches for day events
We often think of women's clutches as evening wear, but they're just as stylish by day. If you've got a special event, like a wedding or other formal party, a clutch is a stylish option. At night, it's common to choose a dark colour, particularly black. By day, avoid this – it just won't look so good in the sunlight. Instead, choose a light coloured clutch, but make sure it goes well with your outfit. You can also opt for a colour that complements your dress; alternatively, use your clutch bag to add a pop of bright, unusual colour that will stand out.
How to accessorise your clutch bag
When you're carrying a clutch, your hands will always be front and centre – so make the most of that! This is a great time to wear a statement ring. If you don't have any precious jewellery, don't worry. You can go for a wild cocktail ring with an enormous, oversized costume jewel that is sure to turn heads. If rings aren't your thing, look at bracelets and bangles – just one, or several stacked together. You'll also want to make sure that you're up to date with your manicure. You don't necessarily need statement nails, but you'll want them to look clean, neat and with an appropriate colour. If you're making a feature of your hands, you might want to downplay the rest of your accessories. Today is not the day for a big, chunky necklace or enormous hoop earrings.
