Rescue your favorite sneakers with a simple home remedy. Use your everyday household heroes like dish soap or baking soda, two bristle brushes (soft and hard), vinegar, a trusty toothbrush, and a pair of socks, and we'll show you how to bring your kicks back to life.
1. Remove your shoelaces and add them into a bowl with dish soap (or try a mix of baking soda + vinegar). Give them a little massage and let them air dry.
2. Stuff your shoes with socks to retain their shape.
3. Grab your soft bristle brush to remove any dirt and dust. Use a toothbrush to clean those tight spots.
4. Time to tackle the sole. Use the hard bristle brush to clean any dirt.
5. Now, wet your hard bristle, add a tinge of dish soap, and scrub the sole. Wipe it clean with the microfiber cloth. Clean the smaller areas with a toothbrush.
6. Wet the soft bristle brush. Add a bit of dish soap, and scrub the top layer of your shoe. Use a toothbrush if needed, and wipe it clean with a cloth.
7. Let your shoes air dry at room temperature, just keep them out of direct sunlight.
There you have it – all done! 🙌
